I am writing to request off the week of July 10, 2013 to July 16, 2013. I would greatly appreciate you granting my request.

During this time off I will be in the local area and available on my cell phone.

I have discussed my abscence with my peers / subordinates and I have ensured that my work load will be picked up and handled properly. This request will also not interfere with anyones pre-requested leave dates.

- To my knowledge I do not have to inform the company of the reason I am requesting time off. I don't think that they are even allowed to ask why I am requesting the time off. That being said, if I were in dire need of time off for whatever reason, wether it be a family emergency, an emotional breakdown "alot of people in todays society are having these nowadays", or a handful of other reasons I would be sure to include the reason and drive home the reason why I absolutly need the time off.
